Pay: Starting Range is $21.00 - $23.00, depending on work experience

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive and process bankruptcy notifications and court orders from all bankruptcy courts, attorneys, members, internet, and other sources.
Input and prepare Chapter 7 bankruptcy claims, reaffirmation agreements and supplemental forms. Correspond with attorneys who represent bankruptcy debtors.
Monitor and manage court deadlines associated with caseload.
Send and receive correspondence with attorneys and Trustees.
Use internet and electronic court systems associated with bankruptcies to perform tasks, including but not limited to, look up documents and payments, pull notices, orders and motions.
Review, update and perform maintenance on the core operating system, online banking system, collection system, work assigned bankruptcy collection queues and send notifications to various Credit Union departments and specified vendors of the bankruptcy filings and status.
Review any exceptions to the claims filed by the debtor's attorney and communicate with attorneys, trustees and other relevant parties to resolve exceptions.
Testify in legal proceedings on behalf of the Credit Union, when required.
Quote payoffs on any account included in bankruptcy, when appropriate, to members and staff.
Process attorney invoices for payment.
Update and distribute department reports and spreadsheets to reflect current status of bankruptcy claims.
Ensure sensitive and personal member information on Credit Union documentation is redacted prior to filing in court system.
Ensure compliance with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) guidelines, various state consumer protection laws, local bankruptcy rules and US Bankruptcy Court rules.
Follow all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations.
Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner (including but not limited to appearance, behavior, and performance).
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Work cooperatively with others.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience - Two years of bankruptcy experience required. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Qualifications and Requirements - Individual must possess the knowledge skills and ability required to execute the essential functions in a satisfactory manner. Above average oral and written communication skills, and strong analytical skills.
Language - Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions, and policies and procedures. Ability to write correspondence and use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Ability to speak effectively before groups.
Mathematical - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest and percentages. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations.
Reasoning - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Computer - Ability to operate computer applications including Word, Excel, and email. Proficient typing skills. Ability to operate other business equipment including adding machine, coin and money counting machines and telephone.
