Salary Range: $20 - $26.25 per hour Commensurate with experience and location.
Description
This position supports JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc.'s Survey Research Group. Data collectors are part-time workers who perform data collection tasks and administrative capacities on various projects. Staff are trained and supervised by JSI Survey Group staff members.
Data collection can be on-site or remote, and is completed according to established procedures. There is no guarantee of set number of hours on a weekly or monthly basis. Positions may last up to a year or more depending on project needs.
Staff must be:
- Personable and articulate.
- Able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
- Able to use online tools (e.g., email scheduling system, etc.).
RESPONSIBILITIES
For this position, data collectors are required to:
- Visit retail establishments in Massachusetts to collect information using a survey tool on tobacco availability and pricing.
- Review completed surveys to ensure quality and completeness.
- Return completed surveys to JSI in a timely manner.
- Report status of data collection activities to Project Team in a timely manner.
- Communicate regularly with project staff via email.
QUALIFICATIONS
Car and driver’s license required (reimbursed for mileage at current government rate).
