Position Summary:
The Chief Building Official/Building Division Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of the Community Development Department and supervise personnel. This position resolves problems of the highest technical nature as required. This position cooperates and coordinates with the citizens of Prescott, City departments, and outside agencies and individuals to provide services to internal and external customers.
The Chief Building Official/Building Division Manager will oversee the day-to-day administration of the Building Division; provide management and oversight to all building-related processes within the Department, including plan review, inspection, technical reviews, code development and interpretation, collaborate with other city departments, and issuance of Certificates of Occupancy and Certificates of Completion; and assess building safety conditions throughout the community, including determinations of safeness to occupy and other potential violations of the adopted Building Code.
