Job Title: Estimator

Location: Orlando, Florida

I am recruiting on behalf of a leading general contractor based in Orlando, Florida, specializing in commercial, healthcare, higher education, and multi-family projects. My client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Estimator to join their growing team.

Position Overview:

The Estimator will play a key role in the pre-construction phase, working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and senior leadership to provide accurate and competitive cost estimates. This position is critical to ensuring the continued success and reputation of my client as a trusted contractor in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive and detailed cost estimates for commercial, healthcare, higher education, and multi-family projects.
  • Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop a thorough understanding of project scope.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing, evaluate proposals, and ensure estimates are complete and competitive.
  • Provide value engineering solutions and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, assumptions, and historical cost data.
  • Assist with project handovers to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to project execution.
  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in the commercial construction industry, with a focus on healthcare, higher education, or multi-family projects.
    • Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Salary & Benefits:

    • Competitive base salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000, depending on experience.
