Due to the ongoing success of this initiative, we are currently looking for highly skilled and motivated Chemical Engineers to join our dedicated team in evaluating energy generation projects and opportunities.Position Overview: As a Chemical Engineer in our Energy Solutions team, you will leverage your comprehensive experience to provide balanced advice relating to high-stakes energy transaction opportunities. Your deep technical knowledge and understanding of chemical processes will enable you to evaluate assess project feasibility, evaluate technologies, identify risks and provide strategic recommendations, playing a pivotal role in shaping energy project investments and initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Perform thorough technical due diligence assessments for renewable gas-related projects, including production, storage, distribution, and utilisation facilities. Evaluate project feasibility, process efficiency, and operational effectiveness by analysing engineering designs, process flow diagrams, and technical documentation. Identify and analyse potential risks associated with renewable gas projects, such as safety, regulatory compliance, environmental impact, and economic viability. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and environmental specialists, to provide comprehensive assessments that inform investment decisions. Develop and deliver insightful reports and presentations that convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to clients and stakeholders. Stay current with industry advancements, trends, and regulatory changes related to renewable gas technologies, ensuring the accuracy and relevancy of your recommendations. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus. Proven experience in chemical engineering with a strong emphasis on renewable gas-related projects. Proven track record in transaction advisory, due diligence, and feasibility assessments within the energy sector, preferably renewable gas. Sound understanding of chemical processes, process flow diagrams, and engineering design principles.Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental standards, and permitting processes relevant to hydrogen projects. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to identify, assess, and communicate technical and financial risks effectively. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders. Membership in professional engineering organisations is advantageous.
