PURPOSE:

The MEMS Process Integration Engineering Technician will work with an integration engineer in our world-class MEMS wafer fabrication facility. This position will support the new process development, fabrication of prototype probes, and ramp-up of new process to high-volume manufacturing. This role will require working on at least one of the weekend days.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support development of next generation products through wafer processing support in a cleanroom.
  • Execute experiments and special measurements defined by Integration engineering.
  • Perform metrology measurements, microscope inspections, and image review.
  • Perform documentation and data collection for wafer processing.
  • Set up and operate production equipment as needed.
  • Provide training to mfg team and track wafer status.
  • Be able to make wafer disposition decision on common issues and be able to clearly document and communicate with engineering if further help is needed.
  • Work on at least one of the weekend days.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • A minimum of 2 years of wafer process experience in production or integration roles for process development with knowledge of various process fabrication areas.
  • This position will work primarily in a clean room environment and individual should be capable of working independently.
  • Solid communication and Team player skills.
  • Strong data collection skills; Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent fine motor skills for handling small parts with tweezers.
  • Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) experience and Hands-on experience in Litho / Plating / Planarization is a plus.

The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $25.80 and $33.86. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
