Due to small size of operation, assist regularly in other areas such as host, busser, server, and retail clerk.Job Description:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssist guests through friendly interactions, answering questions, and completing tasksProvide administrative, reception, and program support to management, staff, and guestsManage walk-in traffic. Sign in guests as needed. Smile and greet guests in a welcoming mannerRegister and assign rooms to guests, provide quote for room rates and up-sell the guest when possibleAssist in coordinating the front desk and housekeeping departmentsVerify that the correct charges and credits are posted to the corresponding guest folio; collect payment for chargesEnsure all cash and cash equivalents are accounted for and balanced at the beginning and end of each work shiftAssist as needed with other functions, serving as host, busser, server, etc.Resolve guest concerns and complaints within scope of authority; refer to management as appropriatePerforms such other related duties as directed or requiredSKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDEHigh School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred. Minimum of at least 16 years of age.Clerical skills including typing, filing, office machine operations, cash register operation, maintenance of records, and the ability to undertake multiple tasks simultaneously. Computer proficiency.Food Server and TIPS/MAST card required.Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people; ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to learn and develop new skills; ability to problem solve.Ability to arrange and coordinate schedules for reservations.Excellent interpersonal, administrative, telephone and other communications skillsPhysical and Mental RequirementsMoving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit.
