Role: Commercial/Sales Director Meptik

ABOUT THE ROLE
MEPTIK is seeking an experienced, full-time Commercial/Sales Director to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who thrives on leading sales efforts and can identify and nurture new business opportunities. This high-profile position involves overseeing a team of representatives and entails significant responsibility for setting and executing Meptik's sales strategies, managing sales pipelines, and coaching sales staff.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned sales professional with management experience, and well-versed in solution selling. While not mandatory, having established contacts throughout the region is advantageous.
A crucial aspect of this role is understanding the prioritization of service sales over product sales and comprehending the sales process within a service-oriented business. The ability to conceptualize and implement strategies tailored to a services-first business model is essential. Collaboration with our marketing lead to expand our reach to new audiences is a key aspect of the role.
KEY OBJECTIVES FOR THIS ROLE
Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential and exceed sales targets. Be an effective and strong manager to the team. Identify skills gaps and provide feedback to the business about what support you need to fill those gaps. Mentor and develop key talents to develop the strongest team in the industry. Build a strong partnership with peers to promote a cohesive approach in pursuit of business growth & team development. Works closely with the leadership team to identify opportunities for strategic growth in line with the agreed business objectives.
Pipeline Responsibility: Responsible for aiding in developing the sales pipeline, sales goals, and KPIs for the sales team, along with reporting and forecasting. Own the revenue number for all of Meptik and present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the board and senior Exec team.
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to penetrate new markets, drive revenue growth, and maintain a competitive edge in the industry. Leverage the existing customer base of tens of thousands of users to create new projects and upselling opportunities. Build a framework for consistent growth reaching outside our current customer base to the broader market, in verticals such as Virtual Production, Corporate, Government, Immersive, Education etc. Design, develop and execute a comprehensive partnerships model. Create go to market strategy & implementation plan for key accounts and channel partners including demand generation process in order to push into new markets and sales models. Establish and Maintain Client Relationships with existing and new strategic accounts, channel partners, rental partners and distributors ensuring a sustainable long-term relationship and revenue growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives and drive seamless execution of strategic initiatives. Collaborate with global team members and peers to develop strategy to drive revenue.
Sales Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to help improve our sales processes and implement them to add efficiency. Establish and maintain the sales process, creating agility for different verticals and commercials models.
Develop price quotations and bid responses that are completely accurate and profitable.
WHAT’S REQUIRED
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with demonstrated experience in team management, strategic planning, and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data, identify actionable insights, and drive informed decision-making.
- Highly experienced in Service sales, ideally in the Media and Entertainment industries.
- Highly customer-focused, relationship-driven, and able to make informed decisions that are in the best interests of clients whilst meeting the commercial needs of the business.
- Capable and self-motivated to develop new clients & accounts.
- Desire to find new opportunities, explore new markets, and create new client opportunities for MEPTIK’s skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, motivate teams, and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a passion for driving continuous improvement and delivering exceptional performance.
- Skilled, capable, and effective at conducting C-level meetings and negotiations with customers.
- Is comfortable using SalesForce & general project management software.
- Strong knowledge of video/film production & technologies.
