Position Overview:

We're seeking a driven KEVIN.MURPHY REGIONAL SALES SPECIALIST to join our team and play a pivotal role in achieving our sales and brand growth objectives.

As a KEVIN.MURPHY REGIONAL SALES SPECIALIST, your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute strategies that strengthen our brand and significantly boost sales revenue. The RSS is responsible for identifying and procuring new salon business for KEVIN.MURPHY. In addition, this role will be dedicated to achieving and exceeding the sales objectives of developing and growing existing business for the assigned territory. You will work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams to align brand initiatives with sales goals to drive distribution sales, reporting directly to the Director of Business Development.

Top 5 Priorities for this role

  1. Open new KEVIN.MURPHY accounts with best-in-class onboarding and strategic planning for future brand connection and growth.
  2. Increase existing salon purchases by connecting salons to the KEVIN.MURPHY sales programs, and education support.
  3. Mentor and guide the KEVIN.MURPHY salon consultant, recreating best practices, and driving brand loyalty through KEVIN.MURPHY sales programs and initiatives.
  4. Drive sales through strategic planning and execution of KEVIN.MURPHY education initiatives in the local market.
  5. Uphold and enhance KEVIN.MURPHY brand presence by embodying brand image, culture, and company non-negotiables.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate closely with the local distributor sales team by providing the training, tools, resources, and messaging needed to meet and exceed sales targets.
  2. Assist salon consultants daily with brand presentations to key acquisition clients and strategic planning meetings with existing salons.
  3. Sales-Strategy:
  4. Develop and execute brand strategies that have a direct impact on sales growth, including product promotions, pricing strategies, and distribution channel optimization.
  5. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and customer analysis to identify sales opportunities, trends, and consumer preferences.
  6. Target List Management: Build and develop a robust sales pipeline of target salons meeting management’s requirements.
  7. Research, qualify and court new KEVIN.MURPHY salons, working toward a minimum purchase goal of $4,000/month in KEVIN.MURPHY (Care and Color business).
  8. Key Relationship Management: Maintain a high touch relationship with top 25 KEVIN.MURPHY accounts within the market.
  9. Time Management: Manage time to meet job requirements for new and existing business growth.
  10. Enhance sales and engagement through a combination of independent initiatives and collaboration with distributors.
  11. Demonstrate a strong commitment to in-depth product knowledge, emphasizing the promotion of product sales.
  12. Growth plans: Develop written account growth plans and provide to sales management as directed.
  13. Sales Campaigns: Strategize and execute sales-focused marketing campaigns and promotions.
  14. Program Management: Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the KEVIN.MURPHY programs.
  15. Drive salon revenues through the KEVIN.MURPHY affiliate ecommerce program.
  16. Education Support:
  17. Participate in and provide support for KEVIN.MURPHY corporate events, shows, and training sessions.
  18. Core Beliefs:
  19. Work in accordance with KEVIN.MURPHY’s core beliefs, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  20. Accountability and Development:
  21. Participate in monthly and quarterly sales status sessions with KEVIN.MURPHY’s Director of Business Development.
  22. Budget Management:
  23. Utilize data and analytics to measure the impact of brand initiatives on sales.
  24. Manage the brand and distributor sales budgets effectively.
  25. Skill in anticipating and predicting potential issues related to budgets.

Education and Experience:

  1. 5+ years of current/relevant B2B sales experience within the Beauty, Haircare, or related industry.
  2. Strong track record in growing businesses.
  3. Strong strategic account plan development.
  4. Exceptional personal time management, project management, written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.
  6. Proficiency in marketing and sales software and tools.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Entrepreneurial spirit: Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets.
  10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  11. Knowledge of retail sales strategies and techniques.
  12. Organizational skills with attention to detail.
  13. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and promotions.

Ability to travel when needed. This position entails substantial travel exclusively within the local distributor territory.
