Senior Medical Director

ReGenesis Health Care is seeking a Full Time Family Medicine physician to join our well-established Family Practice in Spartanburg, SC. ReGenesis is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) offering an array of services to meet the needs of the communities we serve. We operate nine sites offering Primary Medical Care, Dental Care, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, Patient Transportation, Mobile Medical, and Outreach Services.

Excellent Salary up to $250,000 with excellent full-time benefits. Sign-on bonus and quarterly incentive.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will direct the Pediatric and Family Medicine programs of the organization according to the guidelines established by the CMO and in accordance with the provider's training and board certification.
  • You will supervise the performance improvement activities of the health center that relate to the medical or clinical program as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer, including the clinical care measures.
  • You will have direct supervision of the Pediatric Providers and Family Medicine Providers and allocates resources in order to carry out the health care program of ReGenesis Health Care, Inc.
  • You will have direct supervision of the Addiction Medicine Medical Director and will provide support for the overall leadership and development of the Addiction Medicine Program.
  • You will report to the Chief Medical Officer and work as a team member with other Directors and Managers in the organization to independently manage special projects as assigned by the CMO.
  • In partnership with the CMO, you will set priorities and make decisions on critical programs, partnerships, and issues.
  • As a leader, you will maintain an active patient panel, provide face-to-face clinical care, and maintain or exceed the same expectations of productivity and quality expected of supervisees during time not allotted for administrative duties.

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy.
  • Completion of an approved residency program in internal medicine, family practice, or pediatrics.

Skills:

  • Ability to employ necessary leadership and management techniques in the supervision of staff.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • A predisposition and talent for multitasking, flexibility, and willingness to respond appropriately to unforeseen demands.

Experience:

  • Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Care facility is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to communicate effectively orally and written.
  • Minimum of five years working at RHC or in a similar setting, or demonstrated experience as an executive, or program director of a clinical facility.

Certificate/License:

  • A license to practice medicine in the state of South Carolina.
  • Current certification by an appropriate American specialty board.
