Job Summary: We are seeking a driven and strategic New Market Sales Leader to spearhead the expansion of our residential and commercial generator business into new markets. This role demands a proven track record in B2C sales, adept at conducting successful sales appointments, and skilled in building pivotal relationships with key industry stakeholders. Extensive weekly travel is required to establish and cultivate new market territories effectively.


Location: Preferred location is Atlanta, GA, but this person will be traveling throughout the Southeast and can live anywhere convenient for travel.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Expansion:
    1. Identify and assess potential new markets for residential and commercial generator sales.
    2. Develop and execute robust sales strategies to penetrate and establish a strong presence in these markets.
  2. Sales Appointments:
    1. Conduct compelling in-home and on-site sales appointments.
    2. Customize solutions, address customer needs, and achieve a high close rate.
  3. Relationship Building:
    1. Forge and maintain strong relationships with critical lead sources such as homebuilders, real estate agents, gas companies, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
    2. Identify and develop relationships at the building and inspections departments of the local municipalities.
  4. Market Analysis:
    1. Gain deep insights into the unique characteristics and requirements of each target city or neighborhood.
    2. Tailor sales approaches and strategies accordingly to maximize effectiveness.
  5. Lead Generation:
    1. Proactively identify and nurture new sales leads through networking, referrals, and proactive outreach efforts.
  6. Customer Engagement:
    1. Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
    2. Ensure a positive customer experience and foster long-term relationships.
  7. Collaboration:
    1. Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, and customer service teams.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably B2C sales.
  • Strong ability to conduct persuasive sales presentations and close deals effectively.
  • Exceptional skills in relationship building and networking with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the capability to analyze markets and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively on a weekly basis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
