Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical liaison for combat vehicle programs, providing engineering support to production and government representatives.
  • Lead design for manufacturing (DFM) efforts to improve production efficiency and readiness.
  • Address manufacturing problem reports, execute failure analysis, and implement corrective actions for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Support prototype and production builds, conducting design integration, fit checks, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop components that meet performance requirements for safety, environmental, ballistic, and other specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to engineering principles, project budgets, and timelines.
  • Perform root cause analysis, drawing/model corrections, and lead design reviews.
  • Interface with company plant leadership and division programs to support the Lima Tank Plant's production.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain Secret Security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Systems, or related discipline).
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, preferably in combat vehicles, heavy equipment, or industrial design.
  • Proven leadership in engineering roles, with experience supporting prototype and production builds.
  • Strong expertise in mechanical/electrical systems design, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Solid modeling experience with NX and Creo.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
  • Experience with U.S. Department of Defense customer interactions.
