Summary of Primary Functions : Analyzes contract documents, engineering drawings, plans, specifications, proposals, or other documentation into individual takeoffs using the UOFS (Utilities Order Fulfillment System) program in the most economical way possible for the customer as well as the most efficient way for the plant by performing the essential duties listed below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.
Reviews contract documents to determine precast scope of work. Types of projects would normally include innovative concrete products.
Plans wood shop operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
Perform accurate takeoff of precast components.
Utilize Excel spreadsheets to determine plant, freight, and field operations costs associated with the project.
Prepares estimates to be used by management, sales, planning, engineering, and field operations in scheduling work, preparing bids; consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues as requested by Sales personnel.

Interfaces with other individuals in the organization to obtain support and commitment to cost estimates.
Completes duties and responsibilities in the appropriate time frame with minimal supervision.
Requires ability to make independent decisions.
Has daily contact with fellow employees, management, federal/state governments, customers and vendors.
Job Specifications or Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Experience : 1 to 3 (+) years of related experience is required.
