Global Product Compliance Consultant (Apparel)

Description
As the Global Product Compliance Consultant, you will be responsible for developing and executing a global compliance strategy to ensure products meet international safety, quality, labeling, and environmental regulations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, staying current on regulatory changes, and ensuring compliance throughout the product lifecycle. This role involves leading the charge on international compliance efforts, conducting regular briefings, and refining product testing and labeling protocols.
Initially, this position requires a full-time commitment, transitioning to part-time as compliance initiatives are rolled out.
What You'll Do
- Create and implement a comprehensive global product compliance strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and values.
- Spearhead initiatives to identify, interpret, and evaluate global product compliance regulations, including but not limited to safety, quality, labeling, chemical restrictions, restricted substances, and environmental regulations.
- Keep informed about international regulations, standards, and industry best practices to ensure that Eberjey’s product labeling and testing compliance practices remain up-to-date and effective.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sourcing, and legal, to incorporate compliance requirements throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Ensure that products comply with all relevant laws and regulations in all global target markets
- Conduct regular compliance briefings with cross-functional teams.
- Assist in revising vendor manual requirements for product testing and labeling.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve or create new global products and ensure packaging compliance.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent.
- 10+ years of product compliance management within the apparel industry, with a focus on global Level.
- Strong knowledge of international product and packaging regulations, standards, and testing protocols.
- Knowledge of material characteristics construction techniques and production processes
- Knowledge of industry testing methods/Standards (SATRA, ISO, AATCC, ASTM, etc.)
- Understanding of supply chain processes and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail oriented, analytical and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
