Application Engineer - Rheology (Houston)

Compensation: DOE; $68,800 - $77,900/year plus bonuses and benefits
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting, evaluating, and presenting in-depth feasibility studies including sample measurements to determine product applicability.
- Leading installations and providing thorough training sessions to new users to ensure a smooth transition and accurate operation of equipment.
- Offering exemplary post-sales technical support by interpreting data accurately and effectively troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Participating in national and international conferences and trade shows, representing the company and enhancing product visibility.
- Traveling frequently, up to 60% overnight trips, to provide onsite customer support and maintain strong client relationships.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.
- At least 2 years of experience in rheology or closely related methods.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely to a diverse audience.
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a valid passport for international travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role within the scientific equipment industry.
- Working knowledge of additional analytical laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
- Experience in providing training and development programs to end-users.
