Description
The Prime Video Product Analytics team's mission is to provide proactive recommendations to make timely data-driven product decisions via trusted data products, analyses, and training at every step of the product development life-cycle across in-app experience, signup funnel, discovery, and experimentation. To help us fulfill this mission, we are looking for a customer-obsessed senior data engineer with proven experience to help our team answer hard questions by leveraging massive datasets. You'll work cross-functionally with business intelligence, product, and client engineering teams to build scalable infrastructure, data solutions, and help detect/resolve underlying data issues. You will apply cloud-based AWS services to solve challenging problems around big data processing, data warehouse design, and enabling self-service. You will focus on automation and optimization for all areas of Data Lake/ETL maintenance and deployment. This role is unique, high impact, going both breadth and depth - you will have the opportunity to work with cross-cutting datasets across Prime Video while also becoming an expert on specific areas of the business.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience mentoring team members on best practices
- 5+ years of data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics experience
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
- Experience operating large data warehouses
