Yondr’s business segments span numerous industries, primarily across education and live events. Yondr supports schools through cell phone-free programs. Our education programs facilitate the successful implementation of phone-free school environments by providing administrators and teachers with education, training, and development resources, along with all necessary equipment. In addition, Yondr supports top artists in music and comedy by creating phone-free shows, allowing performers and audience members to enjoy live performances without the distraction of phones.

About the role:

Yondr is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Marketing to lead the next phase of the company’s growth. This role is critical in defining and executing the overall marketing strategy, with a strong emphasis on enhancing brand awareness, shaping brand identity, and managing public relations to maintain a positive company image.

What you'll do:

  • Create compelling brand narratives and visual assets to drive company awareness and loyalty that aligns with the company’s overall mission + vision.

  • Direct brand positioning, messaging + identity across all business segments to ensure consistency and alignment with the company’s values + mission.

  • Identify market opportunities + create go-to-market strategies to grow new business segments and scale existing ones.

  • Lead the development + execution of public relations strategies to expand Yondr’s brand awareness + reputation.

  • Cultivate + maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, authority figures, and industry stakeholders.

  • Oversee communications during critical situations + ensure the company’s voice is accurately represented in all media interactions.

  • Provide leadership + direction to the company’s marketing efforts, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration and high performance.

  • Partner closely with sales teams across all business segments to align sales and marketing strategies.

  • Oversee the development + execution of integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness and customer engagement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and customer success, to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with business objectives.

  • Oversee vendor relationships + manage contracts with outside agencies.

  • Spearhead creative vision for both small + large projects, harnessing brand design, copy and art. Oversee creative work from outsourced designers, copywriters, photographers and videographers.

  • Lead the strategy for digital marketing, including content marketing + online advertising, to enhance brand presence.

  • Build + execute a coordinated calendar of campaigns, events and messages, ensuring consistent activity to drive incremental traffic and sales.

  • Conduct market research + competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the marketplace. Use data-driven insights to refine brand strategy + improve marketing effectiveness.

  • Develop + manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI.

  • Oversee the measurement + reporting of campaign performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

What you'll have :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related experience

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Proven track record in brand building, public relations, and marketing strategy development.

  • Experience supporting sales-led organizations.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Evidence of success in influencing cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically.

Exceptional Candidates will have:

  • MBA

  • Experience in communications and media relations

Job Location:

  • Mar Vista, CA

  • Hybrid work schedule (two days a week in office)
