District Sales Manager - Houston District

The District Sales Manager is primarily responsible for driving sales activities within assigned territory by managing the sales team, performing sales forecasts, ensuring sales revenue and profit growth, reviewing market analyses, and monitoring pricing objectives.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accomplish regional sales goals.
  2. Manage Sales Representatives to ensure market growth and business plan objectives are met.
  3. Develop training and conduct performance evaluations for Sales Representatives.
  4. Participate in the hiring and promotion of sales representatives.
  5. Assign sales territories to Sales Representatives.
  6. Deliver sales presentations to top customers in coordination with Sales Representatives.
  7. Meet with top customers, assisting Sales Representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  8. Analyze sales statistics to assist in promoting sales decisions.
  9. Analyze market data and opportunities to ensure proper sales coverage.
  10. Communicate with General Manager to ensure customer commitments and opportunities are captured.
  11. Collaborate with National Accounts and Industrial Resources Group on Sales initiatives.
  12. Coordinate marketing and advertising efforts for local market awareness.
  13. Direct and participate in customer appreciation programs.
  14. Gain a personal relationship with the region's Top 20 accounts.
  15. Gain personal awareness of the top 10 jobsites and their contractors in the region.
  16. Communicate with region staff regarding fleet requirements.
  17. Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition within the assigned region.
  18. Submit status reports and monthly itineraries to the Regional Manager of Operations.

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree preferred.
