Aftermarket Sales Representative/Account Manager- IL, MI, IN - 3 Locations

Travel: Up to 80% of the time

Must-Haves

  1. Prefer a minimum of two years of experience in technical sales, specifically emphasizing post-sales involvement, in one or more of the following areas: capital equipment, packaging materials, or other industry-related goods.
  2. Strong communication skills.
  3. Strong customer service skills.
  4. Open to traveling up to 80%. Requirement: 3-4 days in the field.
  5. Location: IL, MI, or IN.

Nice-To-Haves

  1. Previous CRM and ERP systems experience preferred.
  2. Engineering degree is a plus.
  3. Collaborative and Team player.
  4. Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing deadlines.
  5. Consultative sales approach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  1. Conduct online and in-plant evaluation of all our equipment and spare part inventories, providing customers with relevant service product proposals aimed at optimizing readiness and productivity.
  2. Analyze machine age and cycle count of customer-owned equipment, and proactively engage with customers to facilitate planned service and parts activities appropriately scaled to the opportunity.
  3. Propose and sell service products that optimize the reliability and efficiency of the customer's machinery.
  4. Upon receipt of Technical Service Quotes (TSQ) from the internal team, provide related proposals to customers within the business week in which the TSQ was created.
  5. Track and chase TSQs with customers at least three times within 30 days, and record chase dates on TSQ sales tracking report.
  6. Submit TSQ update report to manager along with monthly sales report.
  7. Submit requests for proposals to Service Products Coordinators via the designated administrative systems and within established timeframes.
  8. Provide sales documents, customer purchase orders, and related documentation to coordinator or manager within 48 hours of 'won' orders.
  9. Evaluate all new machine types that arrive in territory.
  10. Maintain a database of customer follow-up calls, quotations pending, spare parts custom-kit lists provided, and routine calls.
  11. Assist customers in validating the accuracy of their service products documentation and revise as necessary.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred. Consultative sales experience required. Ideal candidates will have at least two years' technical sales experience in one or more of the following: capital equipment, packaging materials, or other industry-related goods. Practical mechanical experience also preferred.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.

Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Previous CRM and ERP systems experience preferred.

Certificates and Licenses: Current valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required by position.
