About the Role
8Flow is looking for a backend engineer team lead to join the founding team and help build the initial product. Our ideal hire will have a strong desire to work at a startup and shape the vision of the company together with us. You will work closely with the Head of Engineering on creating a high-performant and reliable backend.
What You Will Do
Help define the technical architecture and develop the product end-to-end
Provide expertise in backend architecture and best practices
Work with the team to help design the product iteratively to achieve high velocity
Explore new product development areas driven by a strategic understanding of the user's landscape.
Take ownership and drive initiatives for segments within the product
Required Experience
5+ years of experience building scalable and performant backend systems
Strong experience with Backend technologies, NodeJs, Python, Docker, Terraform, Serverless deployment
5+ years in a cloud-based ecosystem such as Google Cloud (Preferred), AWS, or Azure
Experience solving complex technical challenges
Experience with developing data-intensive applications and building data pipelines
Experience designing data models and data warehouses and using SQL and NoSQL database management systems
Degree in Computer Science or relevant field
Experience developing in an Agile environment is a plus
Experience with Terraform and CI/CD a big plus
