Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to work in an enterprise cyber security operations environment designing and integrating cloud security solutions, assisting in incident response activities, and managing cyber security projects and tasks. The right candidate will have experience in implementing cloud security tools and processes in Microsoft Azure and M365 environment, integrating security controls into the DevOps lifecycle, and investigating and responding to security incidents.

Week in the life of a Senior Cloud Security Engineer:
- Architect, design, implement, and maintain security solutions in SaaS and IaaS environments.
- Write scripts to incorporate security into the DevOps lifecycle, including leveraging AI to improve security.
- Serve as escalation point for security incidents raised by the SOC team.
- Investigate security alerts and event logs to identify root cause and mitigation plans.
- Evaluate security solutions to determine best fit and see them through deployment phase.
- Work with compliance team to ensure solutions are compliant with industry standards and requirements.
- Manage tasks and projects, track progress, and report on status to management.
Job Requirements
- Eligible to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology field.
- Minimum 5 years of overall experience.
- Experience in:
- Working as a member of a security operations team using Microsoft Azure and M365.
- Monitoring and reviewing logs, writing and tweaking alerts, and triaging events and incidents.
- Writing scripts to automate security tasks and integrate various cloud solutions, preferably in Microsoft cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of security operations and compliance environment with experience in managing multiple tasks, reporting to management, and driving security initiatives within the IT group.
- Off-hours support on as-needed basis.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
