We are looking for individuals who excel at executing an analytics vision, with a focus on efficiency and sustainable value creation, through the use of data transformation, data analysis, converting business problems into analytical problems, quickly iterating on machine learning / analytics models, and building and deploying analytical solutions in a sustainable manner to deliver value to our internal client organizations.
A successful candidate will bring advanced knowledge of best-in-class data transformation and analysis methodologies, analytics / machine learning tools and techniques, and an ability to adapt to, and learn very quickly from, a very diverse environment of data, technology, business problems and stakeholders.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
- This is a highly visible execution role for the business solutions analytics capability throughout the organization. The Data Analyst creates and manages the execution roadmap for the analytics strategy developed for a specific client organization / problem.
- Serve as an analytics ambassador at the client organization, to build the path between strategy, data science model design, and solution development and deployment in client organization.
- Serve as the primary contact for execution and collaboration across teams business, strategy, consulting, IT, data science
- Ensure that all requirements for the data science team are met, and create a sustainable plan to serve these needs on an ongoing basis
- Be the primary point of resolution for all issues like data security, data ingestion, solution deployment, unexpected delays
- Identifying sources for data acquisition and ingestion
- Performing ETL on the data, both internal and external sources
- Data cleaning and quality analyses
- Designing processes for delivering inputs to data science team, and consumption of insights / recommendations by the business teams.
- Automation of various process to make them as efficient as possible
- Escalating issues related to data, analyses, solution development and deployment to the relevant leaders immediately
What You Will Need: Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with data manipulation, especially using tools like R, Python, SQL
- Ability to build machine learning models, especially through quick experimentation and iteration
- Ability to extract insights from data through analyses
- Ability to translate analytics into business insights
- Stakeholder management capabilities, including communication across global teams
- Experience with broad business problem-solving using advanced analytics (Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence)
- Hands-on experience in building models of advanced analytics, machine learning etc. outside just an academic space
- Hands-on experience with (EDA) Exploratory Data Analyses like univariate, bivariate, correlation, simple regression etc.
- Expertise in handling data including extraction, clean up, quality analysis, preparation for data science, ingestion, extraction of insights, creating benchmarks, answering simple business questions
- Hands-on experience with one or more of advanced analytics tools like SAS, R, Python
- Hands-on experience with one or more of reporting solutions like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Spotfire
- Should know the basic principles of modular solution design
Bonus Skills:
- Experience working with remote teams, especially with teams spread out globally
- Experience in supply chain analytics or operational analytics in an industrial environment
- Hands on experience with data exploration tools and databases like SQL, HIVE, Oracle, Redshift, Alteryx, Hadoop, BigQuery etc.
