MAINTENANCE MANAGER


Position Type: Full-time (Direct Hire), Non-exempt

Position Hours : Monday-Friday, 6:30am/7:00am – 4:00pm

Position Salary: $65K-$70K

Position Location : Rossford, OH


Responsible to supervise a staff over a three-shift production operation. Capabilities should include familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems. Must have a broad knowledge of factory mechanicals including plumbing, electrical distribution, fabrication, etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Maintenance, Electrical, and Teambuilding.


Responsibilities :

  • Directly manages and makes work assignments to the Mechanics, Electricians, Janitors, and Fabricators
  • Maintain accurate inventory of critical spare parts for the entire facility
  • Coordinate Preventive Maintenance activities and complete PM records in the database
  • Responsible for reducing operating costs and increasing operating efficiencies by the development of continuous improvement programs
  • Expected to be aware of and comprehend performance metrics as they relate to plant operations and use this data to shape activities to increase efficiencies and drive down costs
  • Responsible for team building and staff development including evaluation of staff and recommending training to bolster team knowledge
  • Support a proactive approach to plant safety utilizing existing safety training and recommend additional training as needed
  • Support compliance to all published plant safety policies and procedures developed by the company and government agencies
  • Promote active communication within your department and with other departments to strengthen working relationships, effectively implement changes, and quickly respond to the changing needs of our customers.
  • Clearly communicate issues, concerns, and successes that in your best judgment require the attention or awareness of the owners
  • Participate in weekly plant meeting
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. (on-call issues)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of company.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as measurements, proportions, percentages. Ability to analyze bids and proposals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal and solve problems involving variables in both standardized situations and problems involving variables in unpredictable situations.
  • Manager is regularly required to have ability to use manual dexterity, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, climb ladders, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must have ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Experience

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent-College degree a plus
  • Five years Maintenance or Management experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
