PURPOSE

The Chef serves as the day-to-day operational leader in the company’s elevated signature brands, ensuring a harmonious blend of culinary excellence, efficient operations, financial viability, and an unforgettable dining experience for guests.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Executive Chef in creating sophisticated and innovative menus that align with the signature’s brands and culinary vision.
  • Stay abreast of culinary trends and innovations, infusing creativity into menu development and kitchen practices.
  • Encourage experimentation and the introduction of new techniques.

Culinary Leadership:

  • Provide visionary leadership to the kitchen team, following standards for culinary excellence.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, discipline, and continuous improvement among kitchen staff.
  • Efficiently manage chef operations, including scheduling, inventory control, and budget management.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house and management, to ensure best in class service.

Food Quality Control:

  • Ensure the consistent quality and presentation of all dishes leaving the kitchen.
  • Implement and maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Support Executive Chef select the finest ingredients, often establishing relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Oversee the handling and storage of ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Optimize kitchen profitability by suggesting opportunities to control costs, expenses, and maximizing revenue.

Staff Training and Development:

  • Conduct regular training sessions for all signature brands kitchen staff to enhance skills and ensure consistency in preparation techniques.
  • Mentor and develop sous chefs and other team members.
  • Support Executive Chef on new menu rollouts training, updates and revisions to specifications and recipes documentation.

Customer Interaction:

  • Interact with customers to gather feedback, accommodate special requests, and ensure a personalized dining experience.
  • Adapt menus to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Assists and/or completes additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Creativity; Innovative, proven, and creative mindset to continuously elevate the culinary offerings.
  • Analytical skills; to monitor sales data, analyzing financial reports, and making data-driven suggestions.
  • Business Acumen; Understanding of the business side of the culinary operation, including cost control, profitability, and budget management.
  • Strategic thinking to contribute to the overall success of the establishment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, suppliers, and guests.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, plating and knife skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Proven Culinary experience in a high volume, fine dining atmosphere.
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean motor vehicle driving record.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • 21+years of age.
