Our accounting and finance team is currently seeking an Accountant to support our team. The Accountant role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic and collaborative environment. This position provides exposure to various aspects of accounting, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger management. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, assist with month-end and year-end close, and support daily accounting operations. You will also work closely with the accounting team to maintain the integrity of financial records and contribute to process improvement. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
- Prepare and record journal entries in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts for month-end and year-end close.
- Reviewing invoice for appropriate documentation and approval as well as entering invoices and scheduling payments.
- Administer timely payment processing for checks, ACH and wire transfers.
- Answers inquiries from staff, vendors or clients.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed.
- Maintains accounting files.
- May provide accounting support to other staff as needed.
- Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in both remote and on-site environments.
- Advanced computer skills, including intermediate Excel skills. Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.
- Must have effective communication skills, including good phone etiquette and the ability to communicate with all levels and disciplines of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting , finance, or a related field; or an equivalent of education and experience required.
- Two years of accounting/finance experience preferred; however, new college graduates will be considered.
