ELEKS Data Science Office is looking for a Data Scientist in our Poland and Ukraine location.

ABOUT CLIENT

Our client is a leading provider of financial services solutions, specializing in connecting industry-specific data to provide timely and accurate information for finance organizations.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Getting insight into business problem, understanding the opportunity and value of analytical models for the customer.
  2. Collecting, transforming and preprocessing raw data to prepare it for analysis.
  3. Deriving descriptive statistics out of the preprocessed data.
  4. Building statistical and probabilistic models.
  5. Designing, developing, training and testing data mining, machine learning and artificial intelligence models and algorithms.
  6. Providing comparative research on different algorithms and models.
  7. Implementing the model in a form that can be easily used by engineers, documenting its interfaces.
  8. Delivering the model in a form that can be easily deployable and maintained.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Experience with LLMs (both online and offline), prompt learning, and instruct-based agents.
  2. Experience with RAG or other knowledge-aware generation.
  3. Information retrieval and semantic similarity measurement techniques.
  4. Previous SQL and BI experience.
  5. Experience with Python scientific stack, ML/DL (for Computer vision/NLP/Time Series analysis).
  6. Hands-on experience with one or more of the following for data analytics: Spark/Theano/TensorFlow/Caffe.
  7. Understanding theoretical concepts of statistics/probability, data mining, machine learning.
  8. Understanding how these theoretical concepts could be applied to real-world problems.

Master degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or similar. In lieu of degree: pieces of evidence of having a relevant level of theoretical knowledge in statistics/probability, data mining, and machine learning.
