Description:
The Company is looking for a full-time recent graduate structural engineer with 0-2 years' experience in the residential industry (EIT preferred but not required) to add to the foundation group. We are looking for an ambitious candidate that is knowledgeable using AutoCAD and excel. This person is preferred to have previous structural design experience including the design of post tension slab-on-grade foundations. This position will design foundations systems that comply with various building codes.
Requirements
- 0-2 years previous structural design experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret residential architectural blueprint
- Familiarity in building codes
- Identify design discrepancies and communicate the design changes required to the builder and architect.
- Ability to create foundation details
- familiar with PTIslab3.5 foundation design software
- Understanding of building envelope requirements
- Strong writing/grammar skills
- Able to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally with Architects, Builders, and Owners
- Demonstrated strong organization and time management, which includes the ability to multi-task and run multiple projects concurrently
- Must be willing to work overtime
- Possesses leadership skills and team work attitude
- Punctual, polite and professional manner required
- Detail oriented

Generally Monday - Friday day shift, however additional hours, including weekend hours, may be required in accordance with changing business needs.
