Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Logistics and Materials Manager to manage internal and external customer support by efficiently coordinating resources for receiving, storing, moving, and shipping materials and finished goods, assure accuracy in the ERP system management and transactions while maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines and required controlled processes, and ensure security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control. Must be able to commute daily to the Fishers area of Indianapolis.
Duties
  • Oversee receiving inspection of incoming materials for quality and quantity assurance.
  • Perform and document initial inspections requested for finished goods materials including quantity and quality assurance.
  • Review and fulfill orders for customers of finished goods.
  • Oversee and coordinate shipments to global partners for redistribution of materials.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and logistics providers and respective systems in coordinating shipment planning and deliveries.
  • Review, verify, and coordinate necessary set-up for receiving and shipping processes.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
  • Update ERP system to reflect changes required for inventory control.
  • Coordinate logistics provisions required for transportation of finished goods to customers.
  • Maintain material handling equipment and storage facilities.
Requirements
  • Quality Assurance inspection skills (including interpreting inspection requirements)
  • Ability to record and document initial receipt of incoming materials and medical devices.
  • FedEx café shipping & additional logistics coordination for domestic and international freight.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for materials movement and management of medical devices or comparable products.
  • Fundamental understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts
  • HAZMAT Training Certified
  • Ability to safely lift medical device equipment weighing 50 lbs.
