WSP is currently initiating a search for the Advisory & Planning Strategic Advisor . Be involved in projects with our Advisory & Planning (A&P) Business Line and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Our A&P Strategic Advisors are responsible for driving top line growth as One WSP across the A&P business and with our counterparts within the Transportation & Infrastructure, Earth & Environment, Property & Buildings, Power & Energy, and Federal end-markets.
The majority of the Strategic Advisor's activities will be externally focused including the developing and growing of key client relationships, the discovery of opportunities and delivering work across A&P, across all WSP end-markets, and maintaining a strong brand image for WSP in the USA within the industry. The internal responsibilities will focus on collaborating and partnering with the all Business Line leadership to strengthen client relationships, drive positioning, teaming, and winning capture plans.
Our ideal candidate is familiar with A&P's capabilities with strong connections to and knowledge about WSP's internal and external clients within each end-market in order to expand and grow our services across all end-markets. Our ideal candidate also has connections with both private and public clients across the various end-markets and can articulate the growth potential and opportunities they provide.

Your Impact
- Act as a key contributor and strategic advisor to the Advisory & Planning team
- Partner with the National Special Events practice to develop growth strategy and expand the reaches of the practices internally and externally
- Support National strategic planning in business development and client engagement strategy
- Support National pursuits of high-profile projects and programs with program delivery strategy and innovative solutions
- Lead and/or participate on national major projects in a project management, advisory, or strategic capacity
- Stay abreast of industry changes and requirements, policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Analyze local, state and national trends, policies and/or legislation to determine impact.
Who You Are
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in planning, engineering, business, or related field
- Minimum 15 years of infrastructure consulting/management consulting experience, including at least five years of successful experience in developing client relationships and business development
- Specific expertise in WSP business lines and established relationships with teaming partners and key client decision makers
- Demonstrated experience leading by influence
- Experience in leading and winning major strategic pursuits
- Excellent communication skills (presenting and writing)
- Organized, self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial spirit
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- Strategic planning experience

Compensation:
Expected Salary (Colorado only): $190,900 - $391,300
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
