Description
Currently, FDA is seeking a full-time engineering position in the Maitland office. The successful applicant will have a commitment to customer satisfaction, be personally accountable, self-managed and motivated, able to communicate with others in ways that are clear, considerate, and understandable, place a high emphasis on teamwork, and be goal oriented.
FDA's engineering team is recognized as one of the preeminent engineering groups in the State of Florida. We are experts in roadway design, traffic design, safety, operations, ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems), and TSM&O (Transportation Systems Management and Operations). Our roadway design projects range from major reconstruction projects to milling and resurfacing, trails, sidewalks, and maintenance of traffic plans. Responsibilities for the position include producing roadway and traffic control design plans utilizing CADD software; developing quantities, cost estimates, pavement designs, typical sections, 3D modeling, and lane closure calculations; field work to measure, review, and photo document existing conditions; performing roadway calculations; preparing reports and documentation.
Requirements
- Good written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- OpenRoads Designer, Microstation, and 3D modeling
- 2+ years of experience in roadway design
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- E.I. or P.E. Certification
- Valid Florida Driver's License
