Description:
Candidate must know that this is only a 6 month assignment at this time. Extension isn't guaranteed. Work hours are flexible, but meetings generally get scheduled at normal 9am-5pm times.
Must haves on the resume that demonstrate the following:
1) “Can do attitude” and history of rapidly driving projects, milestones and activities.
2) Team coordination and leadership.
3) Ability to critically dissect problems, ideate creative options, and communication that drives objective team decisions.
4) Ability to plan before execution Onsite work for best practice lab utilization.
Remote work for online collaborations, analyses, and documentation. Research and Development Engineering is responsible for developing and implementing new products through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering and documentation practices.
Candidates should also demonstrate:
• Working knowledge of Engineering principles and application in technical problem solving.
• Working knowledge of product design and development.
• Working knowledge of design control process.
• Ability to translates customer needs into design inputs. Incorporate principles of design for quality, manufacturing, supply continuity, and cost.
• Ability to create and tests prototypes.
• Ability to perform tests, analyze and solves technical problems with moderate guidance.
• Utilization of basic statistical techniques and design of experiments with moderate guidance.
• History of knowledge and skills in their current job family; still acquiring / expanding fundamental knowledge and higher-level skills.
• History of applying knowledge and skills to a variety of standard activities.
A successful engineer will immerse themselves in an intravenous set development team to own one or more product subsystems. Through 3 months of concept development, an engineer will quickly understand internal and external customer needs, develop prototypes, conduct feasibility and benchmark studies, facilitate concept selection among a cross-functional core team, and communicate results and recommendations to influence the overall direction of the team.
• BS degree in engineering is required (Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred).
• 5+ years of engineering experience is required.
• Preferably has experience in high volume disposable medical devices.
