Role Summary:

Responsibilities:
The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including assisting in documenting processes and establishing internal controls, preparing draft financial statements for review, overseeing the monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts, reviewing and approving journal entries prepared by junior staff, and supporting year-end audit coordination. Additionally, the position requires managing sales and use tax filings across multiple entities and states, conducting research and analysis of state tax laws, ensuring compliance with annual report filings, and preparing monthly compliance reports related to government contracts. The role also involves assisting with year-end inventory and contributing to various projects as needed.
Key Skills/Competencies:

• Strong foundation in financial and cost accounting principles.
• Advanced understanding of generally accepted accounting practices.
• High proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze reconciliation outcomes and implement necessary adjustments.
• Effective team player with strong communication and active listening skills.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working independently.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Minimum of 3-5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
