Position: Senior Estimator
Location: Folsom, California
Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000/year

Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Estimator to lead and support our estimating efforts on various construction projects.
Core Responsibilities
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site inspections.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring bids meet client specifications.
- Thoroughly review project specifications and requirements.
- Identify project-specific challenges, including schedules, safety requirements, and risk management needs.
- Oversee pre-qualification and bid submission processes.
- Solicit, evaluate, and select subcontractor bids.
- Develop comprehensive project estimates, including labor, materials, schedules, and subcontractor selection.
- Maintain clear communication with team members, contractors, engineers, and suppliers throughout the bidding process.
- Calculate total project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and insurance.
- Accurately enter and verify data in estimating software.
- Ensure all bid documents are complete and submitted on time.
- Engage in project review meetings with clients and project teams.
- Manage and update an estimating database for future use.
- Collaborate with project teams to review costs and execution for future project insights.
- Analyze unsuccessful bids to identify and correct errors for future bids.
- Train and mentor junior estimators and operational staff involved in the estimating process.
- Maintain professionalism in all client and internal interactions, adhering to our Code of Business Conduct.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in estimating.
- Preferably, 3+ years of field construction experience and knowledge of civil construction methods.
- Strong client interaction and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, supervisory, and time management abilities.
- Proficient in math, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with HCSS estimating software is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Physically capable of conducting field visits and lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
