We are looking for a skilled NOC/SOC Architect to design and implement network and security operations center solutions in a highly secure SCIF environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, optimizing, and maintaining the critical infrastructure for both Network Operations Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC) services, ensuring high availability, security, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Architect and design the infrastructure for both NOC and SOC operations, ensuring seamless integration of network and security monitoring tools.
  2. Lead the implementation of network monitoring systems, security incident detection, and response platforms.
  3. Establish processes and technologies to monitor, manage, and secure critical networks and systems in real-time.
  4. Develop and optimize policies, workflows, and procedures for proactive incident response and network management.
  5. Integrate cutting-edge security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM solutions, and endpoint security tools.
  6. Collaborate with security, network, and IT teams to ensure the architecture meets stringent security standards and government regulations.
  7. Manage the lifecycle of NOC/SOC tools, including selection, configuration, tuning, and maintenance.
  8. Define metrics and reporting for network health, performance, and security incident trends.
  9. Ensure compliance with government security standards including NIST , FISMA , and DoD frameworks.
  10. Provide architectural guidance and thought leadership in enhancing security postures and ensuring network reliability.
  11. Maintain detailed documentation of the NOC/SOC architecture and infrastructure components.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
  2. Proven experience in architecting and managing NOC and/or SOC operations in secure environments.
  3. Expertise in network and security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, VPNs, endpoint security, and network monitoring systems.
  4. Experience with designing high-availability, scalable solutions for both network and security operations.
  5. Strong understanding of incident response workflows, threat detection, and mitigation strategies.
  6. Familiarity with secure network architecture principles and encryption protocols.
  7. Experience working in SCIF environments or other highly secure government settings.
  8. In-depth knowledge of government cybersecurity policies and frameworks (e.g., NIST , FISMA , DoD ).
  9. Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams and delivering clear technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) , Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) , or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) .
  2. Experience with automation and orchestration platforms to enhance NOC/SOC capabilities.
  3. Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and other advanced network security devices.
  4. Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques for enhancing incident detection and response.
  5. This position is 100% onsite within a SCIF environment.
  6. May require on-call support for incident response and operational continuity.
