Overview of the Staff Accountant role

You will be responsible for preparing and recording complex journal entries associated with inventory accounting and supporting the accounts receivable process.

Responsibilities

  • Complete customer invoicing
  • Perform collection activities for aged receivables
  • Prepare monthly inventory journal entries to adjust general ledger balances
  • Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations
  • Propose solutions to address accounting issues. Review and provide guidance related to company policies/procedures. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Special projects as assigned

Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (4-year degree).
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong technical/systems skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong analytical skills. Project management experience a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong PC skills, especially Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of large corporate accounting programs.
  • Self-directed, critical thinker able to work independently.
  • Ability to analyze data and produce reports to assist operations and management.

Ability to perform work onsite in the Olive Branch office full-time pending state, local, and Company return-to-work guidance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic
