Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Sr. Planner (Machine Shop). The position is based in Jackson MS. The Jackson facility has approximately 575 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacturing and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:This position is primarily responsible for the planning, scheduling and ordering of production commodities as assigned. This position will be required to analyze and interpret a variety of reports and other related factors to allow timely and economical completion of supplier commitments in support of customer delivery requirements. "Job responsibilitiesPlan and schedule the level of finished parts required for the completion of customer orders. Includes the planning and scheduling of raw material, castings, forgings, and basic as needed to meet final commitments.Review various reports to determine requirements based on material availability, inventory levels, lead times, etc. Initiate paperwork on allocates, purchase, internally manufacture material or reschedule receipts as required.Analyzes data including MRP/ERP information and prepares reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution.Analyze requirements and apply judgement to determine factors such as EOQ’s or make versus buy decisions. Strive to minimize excess inventories.Plans and releases work orders as required to meet customer needs while maintaining optimum lead time and inventory levels for assigned departments.Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Engineering, Contracts and other Supply Chain members, to drive accurate production schedules and set shop floor priorities by maintenance of work order dates and resolving action messages.Analyzes and manages inventory (SWIP and FG) levels in relation to customer requirements to meet profit and inventory targets and goals.Utilizes strong problem solving skills to understand operational and planning inefficiencies sand assist with development and implementation of process improvements.Works to resolve material and/or labor variances on production work orders and closes them in a timely manner.Works cross-functionally to expedite material where required to meet shortfall between current plan and customer order requirements.Collaborates with other Supply Chain team members in reviewing and updating planning parameters per established ERP/MRP procedures to ensure proper order generation.Qualifications:Basic (Required) Qualifications:Associate’s degree from an accredited institution with 3+ years of production/material control planning experience OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 1+ years of production/material control planning experienceCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
