What You Will Do

  • Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for new and existing Allegion products.
  • Work closely with product management and other functional stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them to elegant implementation.
  • Collaborate with global teams for product development.
  • Peer reviews for code and design.
  • Contribute towards the continuous improvement of the quality and process.
  • Serve as a mobility subject matter expert in the project.
  • Self-directed and able to direct others and be an effective team-player.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor or Masters equivalent in Computer Science Engineering.
  • 5 to 7 Years of experience in Software Application Development.
  • Located in Colorado Metro Area.
  • Strong proficiency in Native Android app development using Kotlin (Primary) and Java.
  • Solid understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc.) and design principles.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Experience in unit testing or Test-Driven Development (TDD) for Android applications.
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD.
  • Strong knowledge of software design, design patterns.
  • Experience in Rapid Prototyping.
  • Experience in Scrum and Agile Philosophy.
  • Thorough understanding of Google’s design principles and interface guidelines.
  • At least one versioning tool experience (preferred GIT).
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and concepts.
  • Ability to relate to others, demonstrated resourcefulness and flexibility, active participation in the decision-making process, ability to assess risk, and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly.

Compensation

This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. The expected Base Salary Range: $95,100 - $176,700. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
