The Senior Regulatory Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Offering legal research, analysis, reporting, and project management assistance to attorneys and managers within the company's Legal Division, specifically in the Mission, Equity, and Legislative Affairs (MELA) Department.
  • Tracking regulatory activities concerning rulemakings (noting when major comments are submitted or significant agency speeches occur) by researching, gathering, and summarizing legislative and regulatory developments.
  • Acting as the department's liaison for records information management, which involves maintaining the MELA file plan, overseeing annual records testing activities, and leading the department's records retention and destruction efforts.
  • Creating summaries of public comments received in response to notices of proposed rulemaking, ensuring that key points are clearly highlighted and the relevant industry participants are accurately identified.
  • The Senior Regulatory Analyst should have the following qualifications:

    • 2 to 5 years of experience working in a regulatory capacity at a regulator, law firm, or with an in-house legal department.
    • Bachelors degree required.
    • Solid understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
    • Outstanding research and analytical skills, with proficiency in legal research tools and software.
    • Preferred: Paralegal certification or equivalent relevant work experience in place of certification.
