Overview:
This role supports students and the overall department as the first point of contact for the Student Services/Experience department. This position is responsible for the management of the traffic within the department. Additionally, this role is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks geared towards the general support of the department to ensure students receive the proper customer service and that all entry-level tasks are completely timely and accurately for the team.
Responsibilities:
Monitors student traffic for the department and notifies staff when students arrive for appointments.
Answers multi-line phone system in a professional manner and directs calls to the appropriate party.
Sends out all mailings for the Department and date stamps and disseminates large volume of mail to appropriate staff.
Updates and maintains all student files including scanning and linking as needed.
Responsible for various data entry tasks within the department ensuring accuracy and timely processing at all times
Responsible for issuing a variety of reports for the department and for students to include issuing progress reports, updating local discount information and department bulletin boards.
Acts as the backup to various coordinator roles within the department as needed.

Qualifications:
Education / Experience
High school diploma or completion of GED required
Two years’ experience with customer service and basic administrative tasks
Skills
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated, strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of basic computing and word processing applications. Intermediate speed in 10-key.
Abilities
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds or less 5% of the workday
Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
Work Environment
Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
