As a member of the Security Control Planes Team, you will be focused on protecting Salesforce assets from threats. In this role, you’ll be responsible for assessing, deploying, and maturing Salesforce’s suite of security tools to provide necessary control and monitoring at an enterprise level.
We are looking for an individual contributor that wants to leverage their existing security development skills, help automate existing operations and reduce the operational overhead to build supportive services.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with Endpoint Security Softwares
- Experience operating, troubleshooting, installing, and configuring endpoint security solutions
- Coordinate and deploy various security tools on all Salesforce endpoints
- Experience with Public Cloud and supporting systems deployment, configuration management and application installations within the AWS (EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, EC2, SQS), GCP and/or Azure core services
- 3 or more years in Linux systems engineering/operations in a DevOps environment
- Experience scripting/coding skills (i.e. Go, Python, Shell scripting) for automation
- Experience Configuration Management tools like Puppet, Helm, Ansible or Chef
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Cloud formation or Pulumi
- CI/CD pipelines setup and tune up
- Proficient in endpoint and network troubleshooting
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, especially for documentation purposes
Responsibilities
- Build and improve our automation for platform supporting services to reduce operational overhead
- Build monitoring metrics and system health status and expand on areas of improvement
- Deploying to and working with large scale distributed systems in the public and private cloud including multi region and multi cloud deployments
- Design, Installation, operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of our endpoint security monitoring infrastructure
- Troubleshoot network, hardware, operating system issues/bottlenecks
- Root-cause analysis across multiple systems in a highly distributed global environment
Desired Skills
- Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills and demonstrate poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations
- Must have a fundamental understanding of accepted security practices, troubleshooting issues, attack vectors, and customer support
- Large scale systems management experience
- Proficient in one or more code development languages, Python is preferred
- Ability to deliver Agile projects and understanding of SCRUM ceremonies/practices
- DevOps experience with skill sets in containers, microservices, Kubernetes, and cloud-native apps
- Up-to-date on the latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $151,800 to $208,800.
For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $165,600 to $227,700.
