Role/ Department: Sr HRIS Consultant, Workday/HR Technology
Responsible for leading and overseeing large, complex human resources information system projects. HRIS initiatives are delivered on-time and on-budget. Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and presenting proposed solutions to key business stakeholders.
- Defines and manages one or multiple phases of major projects for HR business area. Determines resource needs, recommends test strategies, and develops cost benefit analysis. Manages and implements projects. Oversees all project activities and provides status reports.
- Interacts with HR Technology to formulate and implement solutions to enhance existing services, create new client deliverables or improve processes. Identifies impact of changes and processes on staff; facilitates acceptance of change through training and communication. Provides ongoing support of the solution.
- Reviews HR function documents, existing procedures, and processes and recommends where automation or improved processes can be implemented. Design/develops new procedures when appropriate.
- Prepares detailed business system specifications for proposed automated processes and HRIS enhancements.
- Sets and maintains project schedules, monitors progress toward completion of project and adjusts schedule or tasks as needed.
- Coordinates / completes testing effort associated with end HR user approvals for new systems and system modifications.
- Coordinates migration approval and implementation planning for all HR technology (Workday) changes.
- Determines vendor requirements, reviews and compares vendor services and products, and makes recommendations to management.
- Oversees and coordinates with HR business stakeholders to evaluate system needs and ongoing support, and evaluate and implement automation.
- Establishes and enforces best practices during implementation, delivery, and roll-out of new products and business solutions.
- Responsible for ensuring the data integrity within Workday, including the ongoing development and monitoring of HR data quality and confidentiality standards; ensure reporting related analytical requirements of the business are met.
- Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function.
- As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level.
- Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult.
Skills/Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of Workday is required to design process improvements and provide support.
- Knowledge of Workday systems and technological capabilities is required to assess automation possibilities.
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills are required to evaluate effectiveness of processes, and to redesign or implement system changes.
- Project leadership skills are required to negotiate with partners and implement system changes. Organizational skills are required to develop and monitor project plans.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
