Position Overview: Senior Wealth Advisors are the most experienced advisors in the firm and are responsible for managing existing high value client relationships, formulating, and implementing advice, as well as developing new business. Senior Wealth Advisors are proactive, forward thinkers and natural problem solvers. Advisors work with technical specialists to develop recommendations within a given area of expertise and support staff to ensure client advice and experience is delivered at a high level. This position will take over top-tier clients within 18 months and may also train and supervise other staff in client service delivery. A Senior Wealth Advisor shows an interest in the long-term growth of the firm and will have the opportunity to become an owner in the firm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide objective, unbiased financial advice to a diverse mix of clients by analyzing financial planning and investment opportunities based on a client's unique circumstances.
  • Client relationship development and management: Must develop deep, long-term relationships with clients to understand their current circumstances and future goals, needs, and opportunities.
  • Business development: Identify, cultivate, and track new opportunities for the firm. Source prospective clients by capitalizing on networking and referrals; onboard new client relationships.
  • Coordinate with support staff to prepare for client meetings: review all required paperwork and reports prior to meetings.
  • Oversee the client experience: Ensure clients receive a holistic wealth management deliverable. Coordinate both their financial planning (e.g. balance sheet, income projections, estate planning, tax reviews, insurance reviews, etc.) and investment management (e.g. asset allocation, investment selection, rebalancing, etc.) needs with various departments and third parties as needed.
  • Develop and maintain the culture of the firm. Inspire others every day.
  • Participate in community outreach, networking, and marketing activities to drive new business.
  • Be actively involved in client and prospect events.
  • Train and supervise other staff in delivering an unmatched client experience.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in investment management and/or financial advisory services with demonstrated ability to develop and manage plans and manage client relationships
  • CFP® designation (required) and Series 65 license (required)
  • Financial planning/wealth management acumen, judgment, and experience
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Self-starter with a client-first attitude
  • A team player with strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, small company environment

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with various financial planning, CRM, portfolio management and document management software
