Associate Attorney (Family Law)

Job Description

A distinguished law firm in Denver, CO is searching for a talented Associate Attorney to join their team! This is an amazing opportunity for a passionate and ambitious attorney to join a firm that participates in high-stakes, litigious cases. They are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience, preferably in family law litigation to manage a caseload of family law cases, with the readiness to go to court and handle litigation. Pay Range: $100,000 - $150,000 DOE

Responsibilities

1. Handle a caseload of approximately 30-40 family law cases, with the expectation that a significant portion will proceed to court
2. Engage actively in litigation, demonstrating comfort and proficiency in the courtroom
3. Work collaboratively with paralegals and legal assistants, maintaining open and effective communication
4. Contribute to the firm's reputation for excellence through diligent case management and client interaction
5. Adapt to a paperless work environment while ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of client information
6. Participate in the firm's community engagement and reputation-building activities

Requirements

1. J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar status in Colorado
2. 2-5 years of legal experience, with a preference for backgrounds in family law and litigation
3. Courtroom experience highly preferred, indicating a readiness to handle litigious cases
4. Proficiency with legal software, specifically Clio, and comfort using Mac products and iPads in the courtroom
5. Strong independent work ethic, with the ability to also work effectively as part of a team
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, reflecting the firm's emphasis on client care and internal synergy
