Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all AEGIS TECHREP document control including receiving and processing incoming mission essential materials, recording new material in document control system, creating transmittals, properly wrapping material for transfer, safeguarding, couriering, and classified/unclassified destruction.
  • Maintaining AEGIS TECHREP classified central archive and document library.
  • Perform annual inventories of all material and maintain a transient safe for incoming/outgoing items.
  • Safeguarding Secure Internet Protocol Router Network room and monitoring personnel accessing the secure space. Responsible for performing proper opening and closing procedures.
  • Perform end-of-day security checks for AEGIS TECHREP office spaces, ensuring security protocols are properly followed (lock offices, secure safes, secure classified, PII, CUI, and FOUO information, and identify unattended CACs).
  • Provide support for personnel security, information security and physical security.
  • Assist in creating and/or updating Security Standard Operating Procedures, Instructions, and Security Manuals.
  • Cross train with other Security Specialists to perform personnel security tasks such as confirming visitor clearance and access eligibility and processing incoming and outgoing visit requests.

Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required

  • BA/BS or equivalent higher-education degree with at least one year experience, OR
  • A high school diploma/GED equivalent and at least five years applicable professional experience is acceptable in lieu of a college degree.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies in carrying out information, personnel, and physical security programs related to the protection of classified material.
  • Experience, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures.
  • Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to report findings both orally and in writing to the client.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with Defense Information System for Security Web Application and Lenel OnGuard system is desired.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance is highly desired; however, candidates eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered. The selected candidate will receive a contingent offer if they do not hold an active clearance. A start date will be established once an interim Secret clearance is granted.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must maintain the capacity to communicate with their supervisor and/or manager when not in the office.

  • Reaching, handling, and using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 lbs.
