We are presently recruiting for both a biotech and a chemistry patent agent or attorney. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials and at least 3 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications for biotechnology and/or chemistry-related matters. As the positions will require communication with inventors and drafting patent applications, excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. The firm’s clients include global corporations in biotechnology, chemistry and life sciences that expect the highest quality of legal services. Also, experience with freedom to operate opinions is highly desired.
Experience drafting or assisting on freedom-to-operate opinions also strongly preferred. Position requires a PhD or Master's degree with experience in a biotechnology or chemistry-related field.

must be admitted to practice before the USPTO;
preferably be local to the DC/MD/VA region and/or be willing to relocate;
must be capable of working independently and remotely to support partners in multiple locations.
