Job Overview:
The Account Director - Logistics will be responsible for increasing the scope of our engagement in defined enterprise accounts, some of whom are existing accounts and some you will bring forward from your own network.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with high-level decision-makers at enterprise-level accounts. Proactively understand client needs, challenges, and long-term business objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance and solutions aligned with their specific goals. Foster ongoing communication and collaboration to build trust and long-term partnerships.
Identify and qualify new enterprise-level sales opportunities within your assigned territory.
Deliver compelling sales presentations that showcase the value proposition of our products/services. Negotiate and close complex sales deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that address client challenges. Manage the sales cycle from initial contact to successful securing of a purchase order.
Ideal candidates will possess a proven track record in sales within the Logistics industry across one or more of the following Solutions areas:
- Logistics control solutions sales
- Logistics operations
- Logistics planning – sales of logistics planning solutions
In addition, experience in Business Consulting sales would be a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The ideal candidates will be involved in all aspects of Business Development and solutions selling, including:
- Screening potential business deals/opportunities with identified final end user customers & analyzing market strategies, deal/opportunity requirements, prospect and market potential, and financials.
- Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Developing negotiation strategies appropriate to each nominated account.
- Protecting organization's value by keeping all business strategies and technical information confidential.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- A strong and current network in Logistics Control or Resource Planning Solutions and/or Logistics Operations in large scale enterprises.
- At minimum 5 years of experience of successful selling of relevant solutions and services within the Logistics environments at Enterprise Level.
- Ideal skillset includes history of Meeting/Exceeding Sales Goals, Strong Prospecting, Presentation, and Closing Skills; Sales Planning, Selling to Customer Needs (Solution Selling), Territory Management, Market Knowledge of the Life Science Industry, Self-Motivation for Sales/Results, High Energy Level, and Professionalism.
- Bachelors/Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Technical Marketing or MIS or related IT degrees.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with typical off-the-shelf CRM software and other software packages such as Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
