**Must-Have:** BLS (CPR), RRT
**Job Description:**
- Perform routine and critical respiratory care procedures under supervision.
- Responsible for providing care for Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients.
- Disassemble, wash, rinse, dry, and package respiratory equipment.
- Evaluate patient respiratory care results per care plans.
- Serve as a role model demonstrating competency in clinical judgment and technical skills.
- Prepare and test respiratory therapy equipment for safety and proper operation; check equipment routinely.
- Report malfunctioning equipment to the manager.
- Process and maintain respiratory equipment.
- Accurately chart respiratory flow sheets and care plans in the EMR.
- Charge accurately in the EMR.
- Complete assessments on ventilator patients and others receiving respiratory care services.
- Recommend timely interventions and further treatment or referrals as needed.
- Record procedures, patient responses, and compliance with sleep therapy.
- Consult with supervising Respiratory Care Practitioner regarding adverse effects.
- Write and relay patient information to physicians.
- Evaluate patients for routine respiratory care therapy in inpatient units and the Emergency room.
- Obtain and analyze blood gases—arterial, venous, and capillary.
- Assist in cleaning respiratory care related equipment.
- Assist with stocking supplies on inpatient care units.
