ABOUT: Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club (MKsc), a nonprofit organization and unifying force in the community, is looking for a dynamic individual to join its team as the Director of Marketing & Corporate Engagement. MKsc strives to enrich the lives of adults and youth in the Greater Milwaukee Area by providing soccer to everyone no matter their size, shape, gender, race, or socioeconomic status. The club serves more than 6,000 youth members through recreational and select teams in 13 regions across Southeastern Wisconsin each year and is committed to ensuring everyone can continue to play soccer while instilling a lifelong passion for the game. Uihlein Soccer Park is the home of the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club. With over 600,000 visitors a year, Uihlein is a premier, professionally maintained indoor and outdoor sports facility with 13 full-sized outdoor soccer fields and two lighted stadium fields. Three indoor fields allow for year-round, weather resistant play with professionally organized tournaments in Spring, Summer and Fall.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic-minded individual to join our team as the Director of Marketing & Corporate Engagement. This role will be instrumental in driving the growth and visibility of our park and club, as well as establishing and maintaining partnerships with corporate entities to support our mission.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy:
    • Create comprehensive marketing plans to increase brand awareness, drive attendance to events, and attract new members to our soccer club and park.
    • Utilize a variety of channels, including digital marketing, social media, email campaigns, and traditional advertising, to effectively reach target audiences.
    • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and optimize strategies as needed.
  • Corporate Partnership Development:
    • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential corporate sponsors and partners, including local businesses, organizations, and larger corporations.
    • Develop sponsorship packages and customized partnership opportunities that align with the goals and values of both parties.
    • Negotiate sponsorship agreements and contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and maximum value for both the park and corporate partners.
  • Event Management and Promotion:
    • Plan and coordinate promotional events, tournaments, and community outreach programs to engage both existing members and prospective participants.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of events, from planning and logistics to marketing and sponsorship activation.
    • Leverage events as opportunities to showcase the park and club, drive revenue, and enhance the overall experience for attendees.
  • Brand Management and Communication:
    • Uphold and reinforce the brand identity and messaging of the park and club across all marketing materials, communications, and interactions.
    • Serve as a spokesperson for the organization, representing our values and initiatives to the media, stakeholders, and the broader community.
    • Develop and distribute compelling content, including press releases, newsletters, and promotional materials, to effectively communicate our mission, achievements, and upcoming events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree – Business Management, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales or development
  • Proven experience in marketing, brand management, and/or corporate partnership development, preferably within the sports industry.
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute marketing campaigns that drive results.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, with a collaborative and results-oriented approach.
  • In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Google
  • Experience with social media analytics, including Google Analytics and Facebook Insights

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work independently and relatively unsupervised on multiple projects and assignments
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to work some weekends and nights, particularly during special events and tournaments
