RETS Associates is partnering with our client to recruit a multifamily Acquisitions Analyst in San Francisco. The analyst will support the SVP and VP of Real Estate Acquisitions, and Associates in conducting comprehensive financial/economic analyses for potential multifamily acquisitions (both core and value-add) in primary markets across the western United States. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in commercial real estate (CRE) analysis/financial modeling, specifically related to multifamily acquisitions, within a CRE brokerage firm, investment firm, or lending institution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and update financial models for potential acquisition targets (200+ units) using Excel.
- Research and analyze multiple markets suitable for multifamily asset acquisitions and develop deep knowledge to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
- Conduct due diligence activities, including lease analysis and competitive market assessments, and coordinate third-party reports such as market studies and property tax analyses.
- Collaborate with the Property Operations Group to develop zero-based operating and capital budgets.
- Participate in various analytical projects within the Acquisition Department.
- Assist in preparing materials for Company's Investment Committee.
- Prepare reports for Company's ownership and institutional investment partners.
- Maintain and develop relationships with potential deal sources, including brokers, owners, and developers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-3 years of experience in financial modeling for multifamily CRE acquisitions.
- Bachelor's degree.
- High proficiency in Excel.
