As a member of BRG’s Recruiting team, you will be responsible for hiring top-tier talent into our internship and entry-level programs. You will help drive the recruiting process by identifying and interviewing qualified candidates and maintaining strong relationships with those candidates as they move through our hiring process. We are looking for someone who is resourceful, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced firm.
The Campus Recruiter will provide direct support closely aligned with one or more of our practices (e.g. Healthcare, Economics & Damages, Corporate Finance, etc.) on their campus recruiting efforts and strategy with ad-hoc support to other practices as needed. This role will be responsible for helping hiring managers recruit from a core list of target schools while also evaluating and managing qualified applicants from all institutions. In this role you will coordinate all hiring activities including job postings, on-campus recruiting events, candidate screening, scheduling, interviews, and assessments, and track candidates throughout the recruitment process. You will participate in the ongoing assessment of our recruitment process, which has a focus on developing a diverse and forward-thinking talent pool that will meet future business needs, implement process improvements, and report on hiring metrics. The Campus Recruiter will also collaborate with peers who support other segments of BRG to share best practices, bring efficiencies to firm-wide campus recruiting, and present a cohesive image of BRG opportunities on campus.
The role is a hybrid (in-office and remote) position based in Washington, DC.
Duties Will Include But Are Not Limited To
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop and execute strategies for campus recruiting, prioritize on-campus activities, set calendar of events, and help delegate responsibilities to consulting staff to ensure proper participation in all recruiting activities.
- Organize, plan, and attend campus events (career fairs, information sessions, on-campus interviews, mixers, and other firm sponsored events, etc.).
- Perform resume and candidate screening based on guidance provided from hiring team.
- Schedule and facilitate on-campus, virtual, and in-office interviews.
- Participate in candidate assessment meetings and candidate follow up after each step of the recruiting process.
- Analyzes and reports on campus metrics to develop new and innovative recruiting strategies for long term and sustained growth.
- Identifies innovative campus brand collateral and branded merchandise, giveaways, philanthropic partnerships, etc.
- Actively engage and contribute ideas to be the best-in-class in collegiate recruiting process and procedure, as well as BRG brand development on campus.
- Facilitate diversity initiatives with identified university goals, internal BRG initiatives, and actively participate in diversity initiative meetings and programs.
- Manage candidate data and information appropriately in our Applicant Tracking System.
- During the offseason, this position may support experienced hire recruiting efforts and collaborate with experienced hire recruiters. This may include:
- Review resumes and evaluate candidates’ qualifications and strengths compared with job requirements.
- Communicating with candidates and coordinating logistics of interviews with BRG staff as needed.
- Sourcing for high-volume roles by leveraging LinkedIn, Talemetry CRM, and other creative sourcing methods.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience, with a preference for recruiting early talent.
- Experience using various applicant tracking systems, preferably Jobvite/Workday and career services platforms such as Handshake or LinkedIn.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of personnel and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Possess a knowledge of sourcing techniques.
- Ability to prioritize workloads as well as coordinate and maintain flow-up on multiple projects simultaneously in high volume, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to identify needs and assess, diagnose, and design creative and innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to stay organized and detailed.
- Strong negotiation skills with ability to sell organization as a preferred employer to junior professionals.
- Advanced use of the full suite of MS products, to include Outlook, SharePoint, and Excel.
- Interest in driving diversity and inclusion efforts in alignment with campus and experienced hire strategy.
- Experience at a consulting firm or other professional service-oriented company is preferred.
- Ability to travel ~15- 20% during peak recruiting season
